The Healing Power of Forgiveness “Forgiveness is the fragrance the violet sheds on the heel that has crushed it.” — Mark Twain
Do you have a hard time forgiving those who hurt you?
Are you still operating on the controls imposed by others?
Do you believe that you are allowed to live your life as you see fit?
Dr. Wayne W. Dyer often tells the story about the time his sister-in-law made him a beautiful pillow with these words on it: “I’m allowed.” He said this precious gift has been a constant reminder for him that “I am allowed to live my life as I see fit, to make mistakes, and to learn from those mistakes.”
Join Wayne on Maui for his all-new intimate weekend event on The Healing Power of Forgiveness. During this new program, Wayne will share his own experiences with forgiveness and the tough lessons he has learned from them, including why forgiveness is the key to inner peace and how the act of forgiving yourself shows that you are living the awakened life. Wayne has also invited two of his dearest friends to share their stories of forgiveness with you during this program—inspiring authors Immaculée Ilibagiza and Anita Moorjani.
“Many people live their lives believing they are not allowed. At some point in your life you adopted other people’s rules for yourself and made them a lifetime code of conduct. Yet you also found that it was impossible to live up to all of them all of the time,” Wayne says. “Remember, you are allowed, plain and simple. You do not need to be forgiven by anyone else, only yourself, and even that is truly unnecessary once you accept yourself completely. You will know when you have mastered the art of self-forgiveness. When you are no longer judgmental toward others, you will have forgiven yourself and be on your path of enlightenment.”
During his lectures, Wayne will help you see the gifts in the storms--those difficult and tumultuous times in our lives that hold the most valuable lessons. He will discuss his long bout of resentment toward his father and how, when he finally forgave him, his Dad became his “greatest teacher.” He will also share the story about his painful and emotional separation with his wife Marcelene and how this life-changing event made him a more tender and empathetic writer and speaker. “I am in a profound state of gratitude for all of the storms of my life.”
Wayne is very excited to have two very special guest speakers join him for this Maui event—Hay House authors Immaculée Ilibagiza (Left to Tell:Discovering God Amidst the Rwandan Holocaust), Anita Moorjani (Dying to Be Me: My Journey from Cancer to near Death, to True Healing), who will each share their powerful lessons of forgiveness, and Scarlett Lewis (Nurturing, Healing, Love: A Mother's Journey of Hope and Forgiveness) who will each share their powerful lessons of forgiveness.
Immaculée Iligabiza lost most of her family during the 1994 Rwandan genocide when she spent 91 days with seven other women in a concealed tiny bathroom to escape the murdering marauders. As she describes her mind-blowing ordeal and how she eventually confronted and learned to forgive her family’s killers, you will see how Immaculée is truly, as Wayne says, a living example of what we can all accomplish when we embrace the healing power of forgiveness and choose to live in perfect harmony with our God within.
After fighting cancer for almost four years, Anita Moorjani found that her body began shutting down—overwhelmed by the malignant cells spreading throughout her system. As her organs failed, she entered into an extraordinary near-death experience where she realized her own self-worth and the actual cause of her disease. Upon regaining consciousness, Anita found that her condition had improved so rapidly that she was released from the hospital within weeks—without a trace of cancer in her body! As Anita shares her experience and the lessons she learned, you’ll discover, as she did, that when you can forgive yourself and make “being your authentic self” a top priority in your life, you will begin to harness the power to heal.
On December 14, 2012, Scarlett Lewis experienced something that no parent should ever have to endure: she lost her son Jesse in an act of unimaginable violence. The day started just like any other, but when a gunman opened fire at Sandy Hook Elementary School, Scarlett’s life changed forever. However, this isn’t a story about a massacre. It’s a story about love and survival. It’s about how to face the impossible, how to find courage when you think you have none, and how to choose love instead of anger, fear, or hatreds. Nurturing Healing Love is Scarlett’s story of how choosing love is changing her life—and how it could change our world.
