Dr. Ryan Kilgore is a college professor struggling to take his career to his desired level of success, while battling the very demons that are keeping him from achieving it. Kilgore is tormented by the memories of his father’s abandonment, yet his wife and child are the ones who pay the price. Upon losing his grandmother, Kilgore desperately seeks the closure that he needed so long ago as he puts his future in jeopardy for a journey into the past. Through a series of mysterious and serendipitous events, a path opens that leads Kilgore to his father—and to making the choice to rebuild everything he has destroyed as a result of what had been destroying him.

The film reveals a true human emotional experience that will bring awareness to how we hold this pain within ourselves and then gently delivers the blessings of forgiveness. The lesson of forgiveness is a lesson of “letting go” and in the end, you’ll be happy you gave yourself such a beautiful gift of freedom.  Read the entire review by Intuitive Counselor

I found myself looking at my past hurts, my demons, my venom, and spending some time being truly grateful for the growth each and every one of those experiences has brought into my life. Once again, the work of Wayne Dyer brought me to tears, but most importantly, it has more than likely led viewers to a new period of self examination and growth.

While the movie tells a specific story of a father and son; it has a broader message that can be applied to all hurts. When we hold on to our anger we continue to inflict hurts on ourselves and those who are close to us. The most powerful message of the film is one of hope, one of power of forgiveness, that people or events that are devastating at the time are our greatest teachers.   Read the entire review by SpiritWise

Full of engaging dialogue, beautiful imagery and stunning symbolism, My Greatest Teacher reminds us of our roles as ever evolving, glorious conduits of love. For ourselves, for one another and for our planet.   Read the entire review by  The Joy Reward

All of us no doubt have been hurt by one person or another in our lives. Sometimes this pain can run deep, like Ryan Kilgore's. I recommend watching "My Greatest Teacher" as it will lead you, as it did for me, to take another look at the people who have hurt you in the past. Maybe, like the fictional Ryan Kilgore in the movie, you'll see them in a new light. And be thankful for the lesson they taught you.   Read the entire review by CalmWithin
